When a man loves a woman,
A boo hoo is due
Because the woman is bound
To make the man blue;

And when the man takes a stand
For the sake of the two
The woman is likely
To start to boo hoo;

And the man will console her
and say "His love is true."
So the woman and the man
They do what they do;

'Til the woman decides
That her love is not with you
And she promises that she cares
Until her face turns blue;

"Then why did you lie,
It's something you didn't have to do!"
"Well, it didnt' feel right,
But I did it for you;"

Well the lesson I've learned
Or perhaps it's the clue:
Never say you love someone,
Unless you really know you do.
